Care & FAQs

Your basket arrives complete and ready to hang. It only needs a few minutes of gentle shaping after unpacking to bring back its full, rounded appearance.

Shaping your basket after delivery

  1. Remove the basket from its box while supporting the wire frame—do not lift it by a flower or foliage stem.
  2. Gently loosen the outer foliage and work around the basket a section at a time.
  3. Ease the individually wired stems outwards and bend them gradually into the position you prefer.
  4. Hang the basket, stand back and make a final adjustment so the outline looks balanced from the main viewing angle.

The basket has been stored securely in a cube-shaped box, so looking slightly “Minecraft-shaped” at first is normal. The wired construction is designed to be shaped.

What is the basket made from?

Each display is built around a 12-inch steel wire basket with a coco liner and an internal polystyrene base. The flowers and foliage contain wire and are interwoven through the basket frame and secured between one another. This construction is based on decades of experience maintaining outdoor commercial displays.

Outdoor use and weather resistance

The components are selected for weather resistance and UV resistance and have been trialled through years of real outdoor use. Rain can drain through the basket, and no watering is required.

No artificial flower is permanently fade-proof. The flowers are normally the first elements to show dirt or gradual colour fading, while the ivy and structural greenery generally last considerably longer. Sun direction, roadside pollution, local weather and exposure all affect appearance, so we do not promise one fixed colour lifespan for every location.

Some greenery used in Andy's commercial hire displays has remained in service for around six years. This illustrates the durability that informed the EverPetal specification, but it is not a six-year guarantee for every basket or every site.

Cleaning

  • For light dust, use a soft duster, cloth or gentle cool-water rinse.
  • Allow the basket to drain and dry naturally.
  • For heavier roadside grime after extended use, a correctly diluted traffic-film remover may help. Follow the product manufacturer's instructions and test a discreet area first.
  • Do not use bleach, strong solvents, abrasive brushes or a pressure washer.

Fixing and hanging safely

A wall bracket and wall fixings are not included. Use a sound bracket and fixings that are appropriate for the wall material and capable of supporting the complete basket in outdoor conditions. If you are unsure, ask a competent installer.

Check the bracket, chain, hook and wall fixing periodically, particularly at exposed sites. The basket is built for outdoor weather, but the safety of any hanging display also depends on the structure to which it is attached.

Frequently asked questions

How large is the basket?

The steel frame is 12 inches across. Once fully shaped, the complete arrangement is typically over 55cm high and wide; the final outline depends on how you position the wired stems.

Does it need watering, feeding or deadheading?

No. There is no watering, feeding, pruning or deadheading.

Can it stay outside in the rain and wind?

Yes, it is designed for outdoor display and normal UK weather. Make sure the bracket and wall fixing are suitable and remain secure.

Will the colours fade?

All outdoor artificial flowers will weather gradually. We use UV-resistant components selected through long-term real-world testing, but exposure varies. Flowers generally show fading or dirt before the ivy and other greenery.

Is every basket identical?

The design and colour combination are standardised, but stems can settle differently in transit and every customer can shape the arrangement slightly differently. Small natural-looking variations are part of the display rather than a defect.

Is a wall bracket included?

No. This keeps the basket package simple and avoids supplying a fixing that may be unsuitable for a customer's particular wall.

Can I trim or adjust the stems?

The wired stems are intended to be repositioned. We recommend bending and shaping rather than cutting. If older greenery eventually develops a discoloured tip, the affected tip can normally be carefully removed without replacing the complete basket.

Are the baskets fireproof?

We do not currently claim a fire-resistance certification for the retail EverPetal basket. Keep it away from naked flames, heaters and other high-temperature sources.

Is there a separate product warranty?

We do not currently offer a fixed colour-lifespan guarantee because outdoor exposure varies so widely. Faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied products are covered by our Returns & Refunds policy, and your statutory rights are unaffected. Normal outdoor weathering, dirt and gradual fading are not manufacturing faults.
